This was our yard last year, lots of water in the wrong places.
To fix the problem we are fixing our yard and this is what it looks like now.
I really hope it works and I hope it looks better than this soon. 
They are removing the grass, regrading, putting in swells, burying our downspouts and sump hose and then planting seed. UGH.
