I have always admired Carol for her unending care for Jonathan. She loved it and never complained. I cannot say that about, the ease in comparison, I have of taking care of my own children. Perspective is a wonderful thing and humbling at times.
Jim's mom gave this great tribute to Jonathan at the funeral.
I appreciate her thoughts and I include them here to save them for my children.(Thank you Sherry)

"Jonathan has taught me much over the last 29 years and I would like to share a few of these lessons with you.

1-Simple things are best.

2-Clothing should be optional, and when its not it should at least be comfortable.

3-Find some sun and lay in it everyday.

4-If you don't want to deal with someone or something close you eyes and pretend you're asleep.

5-A hug from someone you love can lower your heart rate and blood pressure.

6-Love everyone and forgive freely and quickly.

7-You don't need ears to hear because the heart gives you a truer sound.

8-Be happy in your situation.

9-Keep an eternal perspective."
