For starting school in July our kids (and us) got the treat of 2 1/2 weeks off in October, just in time for a great cool down. We were so excited to have Barb and Jenna from Sun Prairie come and visit during this time. Jacob and Jenna have been friends since we moved to Wisconsin and it was very hard on both of them for us to move. Sooo.... they came and we tried to party hard...we are not the best at that but I think we had a great time!!
We went to explore a ghost town around here. It was great to see the beautiful geography, much different than Wisconsin.
We went on a train ride around the town, and was told the history of the town. Funny train conductor if you could understand him. Parker was so excited to go on the train we had to do that very first! Here is Kati, Jenna, Jacob, and Tyson riding on the caboose, oh Zach is there too if you look hard for him!
We then took a tour of the gold mine (ok not really but the info was cool). Then we toured a house they built at 45 degrees. It was so disorienting, it was great. I don't know if the pictures do it justice but it was cool.
We then drove up to the lake and looked around, it was so pretty. I have more pictures, so more posts to come but I am out of time now.

That 45 degree house rocked! It looks like you're getting used to a whole new life out there! I keep thinking Katie is you when I'm looking at your pictures. So fun to keep up with each other this way!
Love the pictures, keep them coming. Sure wish it was as warm here as it is there, it's cold.
