Part 2 of break and great visitors

So to continue on our break vacation...I feel like the old fashioned torture you with our vacation slideshow...haha... you can leave at anytime!!

Here is Parker on the train in the ghost town.

We drove up to the Lake and found these great river bottoms. Our kids are great posers!
We walked through a couple of stores and they were all covered in dollar bills. This was very interesting.

This is such a pretty place to be! I loved driving around this area.

Then we up and went to San Diego. Now that I think of it, it is pretty far but I am so glad we went. We had so much fun and have great memories!
We stopped and took pictues at the Mexico Border. You see that black fence in the background...that is it!Then we stopped at the sand dunes. This was fun for the kids to play on for awhile!

We went to Mission Beach in San Diego. They have an amusement park there and the kids had fun riding the roller coaster and playing the games. Here is Kati, Zach, Jacob, and friend Jenna.

Kati and Zach on the roller coaster.
Then we played at the beach, it was cold but they played in the ocean for hours!! We had tired, cold kids by the end of the day!
Parker and Tyson wanted to be buried in the sand, notice Tyson's blue lips!
The kids boogie boarded for hours, it was fun to hear the squeals when they made it all the way onto shore!
Parker decided sand castle making was a lot warmer.
Tyson was an ice cube and needed super warming!
Then they went on a ropes course. Fun place!
When we went back to the hotel we needed to warm up and the kids swam and hot tubbed and sat around the fires at the hotel.
We went to an old military base Cabrillo (?) and the boys and I saw this sub leave port.
The boys then did the junior ranger program and got to try on old armor. Tyson you are a hoot!
There were great tidepools there as well and we got some great shots.
When we got home we went to the state fair. Jacob and Jenna got attacked by birds!!
Parker went on his first roller coaster, and loved it!!
AND... Jim on his big 40th birthday....
did this.... UGH.
We played a lot, but didn't do much to celebrate Jim's birthday on the actual day but we did sing and ate cake. I love you so much sweetie!! I can't think of anyone I want to be old with.
Thank you so much, Barb and Jenna for coming to visit us. We had such a great time!! I look through the pictures and just cant stop smiling. Thanks for the memories!!

Just read a book that took place in Arizona, and they even lived on the other side of Superstition Mt. It's a true story. Next time we come down we will have to go there. Glad you had a fun time.

I'm exhausted, cold and sandy. I lived it all with you, but next time I want to actually be there. It sounds great.
