After Christmas we went hiking on the little mountain just south of our house. Not a very tall mountain but it was a fun hike for the kids. Here is Jacob looking quite contemplative! haha I do love Arizona in December!
Hiking up the mountain.
The boys have been skyping their cousins in Illinois. We miss them so much it has been fun to watch them play legos over the computer or play games on the computer together. It is still as loud as if they were all in the same house.
For New Years Eve we went to the Fiesta Bowl parade. It was a little cool that morning but we braved the 50 degree weather and had a great time.
We had to take a picture of this group. It is so Arizona! This is a cheerleading and dance group of ladies all over 65. The lady doing the splits is 76 years old! They were so funny! SO Arizona!
That night we did fondue. It was so fun, what a great tradition.
Everyone loved it and we had a great time.

Yummy. I would love to join that drill team in a few years. That must be what some of my friends are doing in Arizona this winter.
We are coming down soon and maybe we can do somee fondueing. I'm sure that isn't a word, but you no what I mean. I'm sure I won't be doing the splits at 76, not on purpose anyway.
I think Mom should totally be on the drill team!
So fun that you can still get out and do stuff, even in December. Sorry about that 50 degree day though, that must have been rough! :)
