We have been busy running around with our kids (literally). Zach and Tyson had the science fair at school. I couldn't be there because Kati and I ran to Utah to be at my niece, Lindsea's wedding! We had so much fun! Then we start the running pictures! Oh my we have a bunch. The elementary schools here have a running club. The kids get up 2 mornings a week and run before school. They run for 45 min and try to go as far as they can. They log these miles and try to make 100 miles in the 3 months they go for. I loved seeing them work hard. Zach made the 100 mile club,(that is 5 miles a day!) and due to surgery Tyson only got the 75 mile club, and Parker made the 50 mile club. The schools then have races with other schools. Tyson was quite the runner and received a ribbon in all the races. (top 5).
The boys were not satisfied with those races and so we signed them up for a 5k. Tyson surprised all of us and the local celeb and ran super fast. He was running so hard he was throwing up but through all this he was telling himself and everyone else around him that he could do it (makes me feel bad). This ironman lady ran with him and was so impressed she wanted a picture.
They all 3 did a great job. My little running dudes!
After a well deserved massage.
Tyson was so excited to be awarded the 1st place medal in his age category, he beat the big kids!
Then all the kids signed up for the local London's Run. I had no idea how huge this is and I really want to run next year. Jacob, Zach and Tyson ran the 10K and at the last minute I talked Kati into running the 2 mile run with Parker instead. What a fun event!
Kati and Parker waiting to start their race.
Kati and Parker finishing up.
Here is Jacob (pink shirt) finishing the 10K with the walkers of the 2 mile run.
Here is Tyson finishing the 10K. The men around him were cheering him on to the finish.Zach finishing the 10K.
At the Run they had all sorts of booths and entertainment and you could pet an alligator?? Really??

I can't seem to enjoy the pictures with all that sun in my eyes. I need to come visit.
I LOVE the picture of Parker getting a massage. That is hilarious! I also like the "Praying Machine". Is that for those nights when you are just so tired?
Reading it made me extremely tired. We never literally ran but it seemed like it with all the kids' activities.
I'm so proud of all those kids. Keep it up. The running Ford Kids.
