What's happening lately...

Ok so here goes a quick update. Jacob had a BIG surprise in March when Jenna and Barb came for a visit. The rest of us knew but poor Jacob was very shocked. We had so much fun with them, but not many pictures. (Gotta love a dumb camera)
Jacob was let out of school early so he and I went golfing. I haven't been golfing for 15 years at least but I did ok. I only lost to Jacob by 1! It was fun anyway.
Really, we have been very busy with track. As soon as high school track ended we started summer track. Run kids run!

Tyson went camping with Jim and the scouts. I love that I have tons of pictures of Tyson with various creatures. I think this one is clamped on.
Yeah!! A great highlight of high school!! Kati got asked to prom!
and Conner was a great gentleman and they had a great time, Kati looked like a princess. She wore her dress to church and it was so fun to watch the little girls, they were mesmerized with the princess.
Tyson was in the talent show at school. His friend Spencer rode his unicycle and Tyson threw him footballs and caught them as he threw them back. Good job Tyson!
Jacob decided on a whim to run the steeplechase at the state USATF meet. He was so nervous but tackled it anyway. It was great fun to watch him and he did great. He is now hooked. We will see how he does next time.
This year our ward wanted to do something different for scout camp so the leaders planned one themselves. They took the boys to Lake Powell to work really hard on merit badges (play really hard on the Lake). Jim was able to go as well and they all had such a great time! I was amazed at the dedication of the leaders and the great sacrifice of many people in the ward. They had 16 boys and 13 adults. They completed 8 merit badges and were able to play so hard they came home exhausted and a little burnt.
Looks like fun huh!! Next time mom gets to crash the party and go too!
